Introduction

This blog is about points in History that helped build the Britain I live in today, and also the wider world without which Britain could not exist. I adhere to the school of thought that the history of a country, place, society, event or whatever else cannot be taken out of context from anything else, as international and global events all influence  each other. Having said that it would be foolish to try and explain everything that has ever happened, but i will try to include the most relevant. Hopefully it would be interesting and entertaining and will appeal to people who are interested in History, and not just those studying it. I have often heard that studying a subject that one enjoys ruins the enjoyment, and as such i hope only to fuel your interests, and not kill them.
